    Battlefield or Call of Duty????

It has almost been a week since Battlefield 3 released and so far has received much praise for graphics and game play. With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 just around the corner who will triumph in this war of wars. Battlefield 3 has come out of the gate very strong showing that they can also implement and execute the Spec Ops style co-op play that has been a great feature in the Modern Warfare series. But with the huge fan base of Call of Duty, and with their new Call of Duty Elite also launching the same day to combat Battlefield’s Battlelog, can Call of Duty emerge from the woodwork to give Battlefield 3 a challenge. We will soon find out in the upcoming weeks. Let us know who you are going for.

  • Nintendo Wii no Gamecube

Going off the guys at Siliconera, it would seem that the new Nintendo Wii bundle will no longer have GameCube support. Odd thing about this is that it comes with no price difference, 149.99 (USD) as it’s been since the price drops…

We at GAMz are certainly hoping this is not a trend for the future…

  • Sony’s F U

    Sony’s F U

So not too long ago (August-ish) Phil Rogers the R&D manager of SCEE, talked about some of the capabilities of Sony’s PS Vita at GDC. Mentioning that the Vita can send Data from the PS3 to the handheld, allowing the device to be used as a controlled screen… not unlike what Nintendo had showed  the Wii U doing at E3.

Not to cause any Heat, go read a bit more about what Phil discussed over at: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-08-02-sony-use-vita-as-a-ps3-controller

Duke Nukem to premiere on Android in 3D

A classic title for any gamer to indulge in, “Duke Nukem” will make its first appearance on Android and will premiere in 3D! MachineWorks NorthWest has developed the game which will release “soon.” You’ll be able to get the game on any Android smartphone or tablet device running version 2.1. MSRP is expected to be $10 U.S.

    From the press release:

“Duke Nukem burst onto the scene in 1991 as the wise-cracking, cigar-chomping, woman-loving tough guy who must save the Earth from invading aliens, and does so with all the irreverence and hyper-masculinity of a Hollywood action hero. The third installment in the highly acclaimed Duke Nukem series, Duke Nukem 3D is a first-person shooter game set in Los Angeles “sometime in the early 21stcentury” in which players use increasingly sophisticated weapons in order to defeat aliens and mutated humans attempting to take over the world.”

“Duke Nukem is a legend in his own time, and he’d be the first person to tell you that,” said Rob Carroll, Tapjoy’s Director of Publishing for Tapjoy.
